With the film still in pre-production and actor names unable to be released until contracts were locked in, Shmengi Pictures needed to build awareness and momentum around "The Enemy Is Coming" without relying on cast attachments as a hook. They needed a modern, centralised marketing strategy spanning current platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Reddit rather than an outdated Facebook-first approach, along with a way to reach sci-fi fans, film press, and potential investors all while establishing a social and industry presence essentially from scratch.

Our Digital Marketing Solution

We built a comprehensive marketing strategy centred on Shmengi Pictures' website, then set up and launched their presence across Instagram, X, TikTok, and YouTube, alongside IMDb, TMDb, and Letterboxd profiles to establish industry credibility. We created ongoing content including trailer promotion, the "Classified Files" lore series, and regular blog articles published via Top4, while running a dedicated Reddit engagement strategy to reach sci-fi and film communities directly. We also pitched the project to film press outlets including FilmInk and ScreenHub, and are now developing a paid advertising plan to extend reach ahead of the film's funding push.
